Duty Manager

What will you do? (Responsibilities)
As a Duty Manager at the Rotterdam Marriott Hotel, you will be the first point of contact for both guests and colleagues when the Management Team is absent. You will ensure the smooth operation of daily activities and that every guest has an unforgettable experience, from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will oversee VIP arrivals and events, and play an active role in ensuring the safety of both our guests and staff. No day is the same, as you will work in rotating shifts with a focus on evenings and weekends.
You will take responsibility for the quality of service and ensure that the service level remains top-notch. You will work closely with the Front Office, Guest Relations, and other departments to ensure a seamless experience for our guests. You will also handle complaints, requests, and feedback from guests, addressing them in a solution-oriented and professional manner.
You are a true team player who serves as a role model for your colleagues. You support your team members, motivate them, and help them develop their skills. Additionally, you will maintain communication with various departments to ensure smooth cooperation. With your hands-on mentality, you will ensure that both guests and colleagues have an excellent experience.
What we like to see in you: (Requirements)
A completed MBO or HBO education in the field of hospitality.
Experience in Room Operations or a similar role.
Excellent communication and social skills in both Dutch and English.
Solution-oriented, presentable, and stress-resistant.
Experience with Opera or another PMS system is a plus.
Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, evenings, and weekends.
